How it works

Every booking link and availability widget on this site goes to GetYourGuide, a licensed online travel agency, and carries the same partner id. If you book after clicking one, GetYourGuide keeps its usual cut and passes me a small percentage. Your price is unchanged, your booking is with GetYourGuide and the operator, and free cancellation up to 24 hours applies exactly as it would otherwise.

What it does not change

The easiest way to judge a disclosure like this is to look for the places where the site argues against its own revenue. There are three, and they are load-bearing:

• I tell groups of three or more to skip me. The official tariff is MX$750 pesos an hour for the whole boat, which holds eighteen people. From three people up, hiring a trajinera directly at the dock costs less per head than any tour on this site, and I say so on the cost page, on going without a tour and on which tour to pick. Nobody pays me when you do that.
• The lowest-rated tour keeps its page and its badge. One of the eight rates 4.0 from 357 reviews, its card says “lowest rated here”, and its review leads with a traveller who timed the boat segment at about thirty minutes. A comparison that lists only winners is not a comparison.
• The reviews are quoted, not curated. Ten verbatim traveller reviews per product, complaints included. All eighty in the pool are five stars while two of those products average 4.4 and 4.0, and the review hub opens by saying so.

What I do not accept

No operator pays for a placement, a position or a rating here, and none has been offered one. I take nothing from the Alcaldía Xochimilco, from any cooperative, or from any boatman at any dock. Prices shown for the eight tours were read on 13 August 2026 from each product’s own data with the currency set to Mexican pesos, and they move — the live widget is always the authority, not my page.
